Many young people will often find themselves at a junction when leaving school or having completed their furhter educational studies as to what career path to take. Having someone to give them free, first-hand and impartial advice about their potential career choices is a vaulable asset. That is where the Old Rydeians' Association Mentor Scheme comes in.
Made up of a pool of older Association Members from a variety of industries including banking, insurance, manufacturing and the legal professions, both natioanally and internationally, their aim is to help our younger associates to raise their potential. We do not expect our Mentors to organise work experience or to offer another Member a job (although there is nothing stopping you from doing this), but instead to simply spare some time (either telephone, email, face-to-face or other electronic communications) to offer assistance and guidance on their chosen career path.
Of course, we cannot do this without the help of other members, and we are always looking to extend our pool of Mentors. If you would like to become a Mentor, or would like more information on how we can help, then please Click Here to contact us.
Please note that the Mentoring Scheme is not available to non-ORA Members, relatives of Members, or those who have not attended Ryde School.
