 OLD PHOTOGRAPHS

We regularly receive emails and old pictures from former pupils. To date, these have been added to the large collection of old photographs already stored at the School. Our aim, in the fullness of time, is to present many of the archive photographs here. Every care has been taken during the compilation of the information accompanying the photographs. While the Association endeavours to keep details with precision, please accept our apologies for any inaccuracies. If you see any information here you know is incorrect - PLEASE LET ME KNOW. E-mail secretary: secretary@oldrydeian.com

Thank you to Fraser Donachie (pupil 1975 – 1980) who sent in the following 11 images, saying “They come from a small folio of, what appear to be, rather poor quality photo-lithographs (not real photographs, I'm afraid) that were presumably collated and printed to coincide with the move to Westmont in 1928 and to act as an enticing prospectus for parents. The impression is of neatness and relative modernity (for the time), whilst also being extremely Spartan by today's standards. I can easily recognise the basic elements of the set up from my time as a border in the late-1970s - even those infamous beds appear to be the same.
