RUGBY FESTIVAL 2003

The ORA Rugby fest 2003 got underway in fine style on Saturday 8th February. The weather was ideal for a fast paced game with firm ground and a freshening on shore breeze. Once again the Old Boys pitched up to face their annual nemesis in the form of 'John Mitchell's Invitationers'.

 

 

 

 

Steve Keen (ORA Chairman) had finally succumbed to the ravages of advancing years and languished on the sidelines, consequently the result was a fine game won by a 'small margin' by the Invitationers.

 

   

 

 

 

 Much thanks must go to John Mitchell and his proud assembly of 'Invitationers' (ringers all of 'em!) and to all who played and  supported during the afternoon and partied hard at the following black tie dinner later that evening at the 'Windmill' Hotel in Bembridge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 If only the Old Boy's scrummaging at the bar had been replicated earlier in the day then the Invitationers would have had no chance!!!!
