NORMAN NOBBS (pupil 1943 - 1947)

This is a brief compilation of emails sent by Norman’s daughter, during his final weeks in palliative care. 

“My lovely dad closed his eyes for the final time at 9.50 this morning, 27th October.   It was very quick and peaceful.

 Dad has had a good life and made many good friends over the years, so we have to look on the positive side.

I also wanted you to know how much we all appreciated your organising the dinner in 2005, so dad could meet up with his old school friends.  It was so thoughtful of you to do that.

Mum and dad have sold their house and are moving into a retirement village in November.  Unfortunately dad will not be moving in now.   But just to let you know, mum will not be keeping the emails system going.”
